- Family Walk – This leisurely 3-mile (round trip) walk, using the paved Bradford Dam Trail, will take us along the Little Neshaminy Creek and through scenic woods and meadows overlooking the Bradford Reservoir and Dam. The trail is mostly flat with some gentle slopes near the trailhead and dam. Along the way, our leaders will point out such features as the bird blind; the fishing area where our Annual Fishing Derby is held, and the PECO Powerline trail, which is now being extended to Street Road to link with nearby neighborhoods. Once at the dam, the leaders will explain how the dam protects people and property in the watershed area from flooding.
- To prepare for this walk, we suggest that you wear sneakers or hiking shoes and a hat, take sufficient water, and snack food for the kids, and bring a camera and walking sticks, if needed. For more information about this hike or to pre-register for this event, contact Bernie Marron ([email protected]).
