WTWSD Press Release – Public Water in Warrington Remains Safe (MAY 24)

WTWSD Press Release- Public Water in Warrington Remains Safe (MAY 24)

The Warrington Township Water and Sewer Department (WTWSD) closed Public Wells 3 and 9 on May 19, 2016 upon receiving notice of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) new combined Health Advisory Level (HAL) for PFOA/PFOS of 0.07 parts per billion (ppb). We are currently purchasing additional water from North Wales Water Authority (NWWA) originating from the Delaware River to supplement the water lost from the closure of these wells. All WTWSD public wells currently in operation tested below the new limit set by EPA and will continue to be monitored.

Please contact our offices Monday through Friday between 8:30AM-4:30PM with questions or concerns at 215-343-1800.
