DO YOU KNOW…that four township committees; Environmental Advisory Council, Open Space Preservation Task Force, Bike and Hike Trail Committee and the Park and Recreation Board came together in January to discuss a plan to implement the voters open space referendum initiative? This coalition will be meeting on a quarterly basis and the public is encouraged to attend their meetings. Make sure your voices are heard.

 

DO YOU KNOW…. the funds received from the purchase of Bricks and Pavers are earmarked for engraving costs for the approved names added to the Veterans' Memorial Monument. These funds are also slated for the Memorial Day Ceremony wherein the Veteran Affairs Committee hosts a community event to honor the addition of names on the Veterans' Memorial Monument. The ceremony at the Igoe, Porter, Wellings Memorial Park on May 25 starts at 11:00 a.m. opens and closes with an honor guard. Recognition of the members in the audience representing their branch of the armed forces precedes the address by public officials (State Representative Katharine Watson and State Senator Stewart Greenleaf).
